Published quarterly, Timire an Chroí Ró-naofa contains articles in the Irish language on the Pope’s monthly intentions.

In an article in the Summer 2018 edition Patrick Muldoon writes about the Pope's Intention for June 'That social networks may work towards that inclusiveness which respects others for their differences'. He refers to how Pope Francis has said that using the internet entails a responsibility for our neighbour whom we do not see but who is real has a dignity which must be respected.

"...Tá sé ráite ag an Phápa Proinsias go bhfuil freagracht ag usáideoirí an idirlín chun grá na gcomharsan a léiriú. Caithfear meas a bheith againn do dhínit an duine lena gcasann muid ar líne, an duine gan fheiceáil ach atá réadach, dar leis an Phápa..." www.tearmann.com/apostleship

During the month of June Pope Francis asks us to pray 'That social networks may work towards that inclusiveness which respects others for their differences.'

"...Fake news often goes viral, spreading so fast that it is hard to stop, not because of the sense of sharing that inspires the social media, but because it appeals to the insatiable greed so easily aroused in human beings. The economic and manipulative aims that feed disinformation are rooted in a thirst for power, a desire to possess and enjoy, which ultimately makes us victims of something much more tragic: the deceptive power of evil...That is why education for truth means teaching people how to discern, evaluate and understand our deepest desires and inclinations, lest we lose sight of what is good and yield to every temptation..."
